To be poor! I'm so broke this year, that I just got everyone smaller gifts, and made up for it with delicious(I hope) home made treats. My personal favorite is this yummy and super easy peppermint bark. Its Paula Deens recipe, and it rocks my world!
Ingredients:
Crushed candy canes, to yield 1 cup
2 pounds white chocolate
Seriously, 2 ingredients?? I think we can all handle that!!
Directions:
Place candy canes in a plastic bag and hammer into 1/4-inch chunks or smaller.
Combine candy cane chunks with chocolate
Pour mixture onto a cookie sheet layered with parchment or waxed paper and place in the refrigerator for 45 minutes or until firm. Remove from cookie sheet and break into pieces
I am not joking, those are all the steps. And this stuff is like crack!! I seriously wish I could send you all some, because this stuff will make even the worst family get together feel like happy hour!
