5 things about me-because I'm sure everyone cares.

I have nothing much going on today, so I'm taking part in
MyCup2Yours Talkin' About Thursdays.

This weeks topic is"Five Things About Yourself",
so here goes!!

1. I'm originally from San Fransisco, but have spent most of my life in Indiana, with a few years spent in Kentucky. Contrary to popular belief about people in Kentucky and Southern Indiana, I AM NOT country. I don't like horses. I've never worn a pair of cowboy boots. I don't even really like the outdoors.

2. My favorite color is pink, and when I was growing up I had a Pepto-Bismol pink colored room, with New Kids on The Block decorations. And I'm not talking about a poster, I had the sheets, the comforter, the curtains. It was intense.

3. I cuss like a sailor. Its like a disease that I can't get rid of. I have made a conscious effort to stop swearing since I have a child now, but it is super difficult.

4. My husband and I both have 2 middle names. Mine is Ashley Nichole, and his is Kenneth James. His are for his grandfathers. Mine are because my mom couldn't make up her mind.

I think its one of the many signs that we were meant to be. (I'm cheesy like that)

5. I cry A LOT. I cry at movies that aren't even sad. I cry just because I see someone else crying. I cry watching American Idol AND The Biggest Loser. I'm just a big baby.

xoxo

I am From KY. I am not a hick/cowgirl. I DO love boots though, and really think you should try them on sometime. Please tell me you've at least ridden a 4-wheeler?

My favorite color as a kid was pink, also. EVERYTHING in my room was pink (thanks to Strawberry Shortcake). The majority of food I ate was pink also (thanks to food coloring, I imagine). This lasted until I was 6-8 years old.

I cuss like a sailor also. For those who say I have a colorful vocabulary, instead of saying things like smart ass, I'll say smart orange, or something (I'll replace the cuss word with a color).

Both of my kids have two middle names, also. That way, when my daughter gets married, since her and her brother won't have the same name, at least they'll both have 4 names :)

I cry a lot too! Especially on "emotional episodes" of Full House for example (like when Uncle Jesse is leaving and Michelle gives him her pig).

I love this post. I cuss a lot too, and must stop. Or at least cut back a little. My little one? He's dropping the f-bomb with the expertise of, well....Me.

Oh, we fuckin' care, alright--

Let's hear it for Non-Cowboy-Boot-Wearin', Cussin' Crybabies of the World!

P.S.-- "Full House" was totally gay, and we all know the only real "Uncle Jesse" of any repute was on "The Dukes of Hazzard."

Being from East Tn and then living in Nashville, everyone assumed I listened to country music. I can't stand country music!!

My mom's sister had 3 girls and they all had two middle names. I always felt cheated about that...

And cussing, whew, especially bad around "the time".

As for crying....you musta read my post:)hehe

Haha, that's not cheesy - when I was younger I thought my mom and dad were 'meant to be' because they're both the second child in their families and their birthdays are both in October. Haha.

I cry a lot too. It doesn't take much to get the tears flowing for me haha. I'm the same in the sense that watching other people cry makes me cry, stuff that isn't sad makes me cry. I'm quite emotional. hehe.

You're the second person who has said they cry at American Idol and Biggest Loser... and with me, that makes three. Those shows (mostly Biggest Loser) always choke me up!

Thanks for joining in today!

bah! are we related?!?!? i had a pink and white GINGHAM bedroom when i was a kid. i loved it!

i curse like you cannot fucking believe!!!!!

AND i cry constantly. my mom was really sick and thought to be dying when i was 13 (cancer) and i didn't cry that year. at all. i tried to be strong. well that didn't last long! hahaha! now i cry over everything. my theory is that tears are poison inside of us and they MUST be let out. so i let them flow!

SORRY FOR BABBLING! i've had the strongest iced tea on earth and i am SPAZZZZZZZZZZZING RIGHT NOW.

I grew up near SF.

I try not to cuss, but two weeks ago the entire labor and delivery floor heard an earful when I was on my way to the OR to deliver my twins...a bit more embarassing as I worked at this hospital until I landed on bed rest!

I never used to like pink...but having twin girls after FOUR boys, I've turned into a bit of a pink freak...we have a pink nursery, pink clothes pink car seats, pink bouncy seats etc. I love it...I can't lie...I may even wear some pink now!

Funny! I love it. I too had all the NKOTB gear including a giant beach towel and a chest to keep all my NKOTB crap in.

Hi Tia,

I came by from the link at Genny's place. It's great to meet you. My oldest daughter is a sailor, so I understand what you mean by "cussing like a sailor".

I love all your photos on your site; it makes a visual statement that will bring me back.

Be well,

Kellie

Oh man I can totally identify with you on #5. I went to see When in Rome this weekend and somehow ended up crying... I don't think it was supposed to be a sad movie. Hmmm :/ I think I'm just a major cry baby myself

Ha - the NKOTB bedspread!! That really is over-the-top.
I cry at ridiculous shows too!!! Sometimes on the finale of The Real World-even though I don't like those people, and I'm not attached to them, I just know that saying goodbye is HARD!! :)
